Colton

So, little Colton you will be 1/2 a year old TOMORROW!! Where has the last 6 months gone??? You are now a crawler (army crawl) and you sit in a high chair when we go out to eat. You are eating stage 2 foods and snacks. We all adore you and as Daniel once said. "How can you not love Colton, he always has a huge smile on his face?" I couldn't say it better myself!! We love you! P.S. We have now converted our living room so you have more space :-)

Preview of Halloween Costumes

We already got a leg up on the costumes this year.. Well for 2 out of the 4 kids. I think the older two are still on the fence on whether they want to dress up or not. I told them if they want the treats they have to work for it :-) So, we will see what they come up with. Meanwhile here are pictures of the two little ones. For Rylan it is ALL about the superheros. He had a hard time narrowing down which one :-)

Fall Is Here

So, I am already slacking on the posting but at least I do a couple at a time.. It is October and Fall has officially arrived!! This summer has been blazing HOT with temps well over 100 for 30 consecutive plus days. We welcome fall with open arms and will cherish each day in the 70's and 80's. Dan went on a hunting trip to Oklahoma to kick off Hunting Season (insert sigh here) and the boys and I decided to have a picnic outside.

Daniel turns the BIG 1-0

Sweet Daniel turned 10 years old this month on Sept. 4th. WOW! Its so hard to believe he is already 10! He is such a kind hearted, thoughtful, intelligent little man. We love him so much! This year his birthday fell on a Sunday. We started off the day with birthday pancakes with sprinkles. Sunday evening we headed to Main Event as a family and then off to Joe's Crab Shack. We had a great time! The following weekend we had a small birthday party for him, just family and a sleepover with his best buddy Seth! Nathan played Happy Birthday to him on his trumpet, truly one of the my highlights. I am attaching a video and some pics of another great celebration of another blessed year with this young man!

Rylan's silly moments and 1st day of MDO

Little...Little Rylan.. He is small but boy is his mighty! He is definitely the life of the party.. Here are a few pics of this silly guy and his picture from MDO at CCBC. He is going 3 days a week now and had a wonderful first day!

First Day of School

Daniel started 4th grade this year. Its getting harder and harder to get them to stop and take a picture of them. Sadly I don't have any of Nathan :-( He started 8th grade and its the last year before High School.. Gulp!

Colton's First.....

So our youngest little one has had quit a couple of weeks. He has grown so much!! Can someone please slow down time just for a moment so I can fully absorb everything!! He has eaten cereal with applesauce, got a haircut (Daddy did it in the bath tub), is in his high chair now and sitting in a big boy seat while he takes a bath!! You are such a happy easy going and we love watching you grow.. You are even rocking back and forth like you want to crawl.

Family Vaca 2011

We decided to keep the family tradition of going to Galveston, TX this summer as we have the past 3 years. We rented a beach house this time. Much more room than the when we took the RV last year. Although we are plus one more child..haha. The boys had so much fun playing in the ocean! They made sand castles, boogie boarding and found sea shells. Rylan was scared the first day and didn't want to go in but by the end of the week he was as far out as we would let him. Passing the time was fun, we enjoyed working on a puzzle together, playing domino's, eating fresh shrimp that Dan prepared and spending time as a family. My mom and dad were able to join us on Thursday night and Saturday night. We all had a wonderful time!

Just the beginning....

So, I am officially a blogger now. Can I tell you how excited I am! Not for any reason other than fulfilling one of my personal goals of documenting special moments for my boys. I have started and restarted several scrapbooks, print and downloaded many pictures and have tubs of special memories for each child but I DON'T have journals that tell the story of our lives. So here it goes
